The homeowner came to us specifically requesting we build her new custom home with the surrounding property in mind. She wanted the main living area on the upper floor, and for it to include a deck to overlook the surrounding landscape.
We included two fireplaces – one inside the home and one on the exterior – for the family to gather around; both include steel elements to keep in sync with the home’s farmhouse-industrial style. The deck’s railing also incorporates metal. The metal touches used throughout the home are “warmed” by using woods in combination with the metal.
To accommodate the family and their extended family or guests, the Silent Rivers artisans built a custom dining table from salvaged wood. The table extends to 12 feet and includes benches for additional seating, perfect for entertaining large groups. When not extended it’s the perfect size for serving just their immediate family.
