Tippie Women’s Summit returns in March

Beginning in March, the Tippie College of Business is again hosting the Tippie Women’s Summit.

The month-long series of events, taking place virtually and in-person, features presentations and conversations with CEOs, published authors and researchers. Attendees can also participate in networking opportunities.

This year’s agenda includes:

  • March 3: It’s More than Business – Insights from Erin Rollenhagen, CEO and founder of Entrepreneurial Technologies and author of “Soul Uprising: It’s Never Just Business.”
  • March 9: Stepping up to Leadership – A Conversation with Tippie’s Female Leaders. Speakers include Tippie Dean Amy Kristof-Brown and Tippie Associate Dean of Graduate Programs Jennifer Blackhurst.
  • March 25: Tippie Faculty Webinar – Breaking the Imposter Syndrome. A presentation on workplace burnout and overcoming barriers to success by Tippie Associate Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship Rong Su.
  • April 1: Assembling Your Power Players – Building Networks That Support Your Personal and Professional Growth. Speakers on the alumni panel are: Cheryl Davenport, senior director of strategy and chief of staff at Nike North America; Kim Johnson, vice president of marketing at Igor; Anne Parmley, Linn County Gaming Association president; and Yvette Taylor, national manager for Northern Trust.

The Tippie Women’s Summit was transformed last year by University of Iowa Executive Director of Communications and Alumni Relations Barbara Thomas. Previously serving as an annual event that brings together students, alumni and community members to encourage and inspire leadership in women, the summit turned virtual and stretched an entire month in 2021.
