Polk County appoints new treasurer after death of Mary Maloney
Polk County has a new Treasurer. The Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to appoint Mary Wells to the position. Wells fills the spot held by long-time treasurer Mary Maloney, who passed away unexpectedly in January. Wells will serve the remainder of Maloney's term through 2022.Wells served as a platoon leader with the Iowa National Guard and was recently supervisor of customer support at DXC Technology.
