Flor de Toloache is a Latin-Grammy nominated, all-women mariachi group. Founded in 2008, Flor de Toloache is led by singers Mireya I. Ramos and Shae Fiol. Today, Flor De Toloache’s members hail from diverse cultural backgrounds such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Italy and the United States.

Chicago Afrobeat Project is described as an “ever-evolving musical experiment.” With founding members Kevin Ford on keyboards and David Glines on guitar, many shows also feature male emcee Legit and female vocalist Rhea the Second. Legit pops his hip-hop verses across Chicago Afrobeat Project’s bubbling afrobeat rhythms, while Rhea’s soaring vocal melodies intersect with the horn section.

Heath Alan
Heath Alan (Pattschull) is an Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Des Moines. Alan was nurtured and mentored by some of Iowa's greatest talents including Patrick Hazell, Joe Price, Roger Miller and Jonathan Schwabe. Heath was awarded the prestigious Liberace Music Grant (Yes - That Liberace) and inducted into the Yamaha Musicians Hall of Fame before he was 18 years of age. Alan studied music at UNLV and The University of Northern Iowa with Frank Gagliardi (Louis Armstrong), Felix Vesculia and composer Jonathan Schwabe. Alan has been an active musician in the Midwest for the past 20 years. Alan got his start with The Blue Band, has lead his own band for the past 20 years and is an active sideman and studio musician.
BYOBrass
BYOBrass is a high-energy brass band of seasoned instrumentalists from Iowa. Playing music in styles ranging from funk, pop, R&B, Americana, jazz, and techno, the bois bring sassy and brassy fun to the stage. Est. 2017.
Son Peruchos
Son Peruchos, based in DSM, is a fusion of Andean and South American folk music utilizing traditional instruments such as the zampona, quena and charango. This musical group also integrates their traditional Andean sound with more modern Latin and Caribbean rhythms such as cumbia, bachata and rock en español.
Royce Johns
Royce Johns has been pickin' and grinnin' for the last decade. An Iowan artist, he’s had the opportunity to open for some great acts in the industry including Sammy Kershaw, Deana Carter, Sawyer Brown, Collin Raye, Aaron Tippin, Eric Paslay, The Cadillac Three, Trick Pony, Walker McGuire and Sunny Sweeney.
Guitarras ATM
Guitarras ATM has been performing together the last 6 years. Guitarras has performed for musical festivals, private parties, weddings, family reunions and has also performed at several colleges and universities. Guitarras ATM plays many different Latin genres including boleros, cumbias, rancheras, corridos, Latin jazz and mariachi music. The members of the band are RJ Hernandez (rhythm guitar vocals, percussion), Victor Lara (requinto (3/4guitar) bass, guitar and is the lead vocalist), Rich Salas (lead guitar, bass guitar and vocals), Jesse Hernandez-Congas (light percussion), and Benny Lozano (accordion, saxophone).
Sharane Calister
Sharane Calister is an R&B/soul/pop American singer/songwriter and a 29-year-old native of Des Moines. Calister is best known for her appearance and performance on The Voice Season 14 working with Alicia Keys and Adam Levine in 2018. She continues to sing with her band The Feel Right Band making additional solo appearances throughout the country.
Mind@Large
Mind@Large was formed in 2022 by Iowa City native Ryan Jeter. Jeter was a founding member of the Iowa-born band Euforquestra, which moved from Iowa to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2008. In 2017, with family in tow, he moved back to Des Moines with the dream of bringing his expertise to Central Iowa. Mind@Large is a collective of Central Iowa's finest musicians, and the band will be performing in support of their debut EP release, "Off The Rails," out in the summer of 2023. The EP features vocalist, lyricist and fellow Euforquestra member Mathew Wright. Wright will join the group for concerts during the summer of 2023.
S.A.F.E
SAFE met for the first time last July after their parents encouraged and convinced them to get involved with the cultural community. Their parents realized their musical talent and passion and thought it appropriate to form a band with the focus on cultural songs. Their first practice was in July and by the first week of Sept, the band debuted at Tai Village Festival. And...the rest is history!!! Since then, they were invited to participate in the celebration of the late Governor Robert Ray, they performed in a wedding, and they have several gigs lined up for the rest of this year. Band members consist of Sully(16 years old, vocals/keys/guitar), Ashton(14 years old, vocals/rythm guitar), Fisher(13 years old, drums), and Matthew(12 years old, bass)
Sonny Side Up
“Sonny Side Up” is a duo consisting of acoustic guitar and snare drums, Sanjin Agic plays acoustic guitar and Todd Simpson plays drums. They play a mix of covers and originals. For the World Food & Music Festival, they have prepared several songs from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first part will be “Sevdalinke”, which are traditional Bosnian songs - a kind of Bosnian blues. The second part will be popular Bosnian pop and rock songs.
Suede
Suëde is a Central Iowa cover band — playing a fun mix of favorites from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and today. They love classic rock and pop favorites, but also like to mix things up so that everyone hears something they like.
EleanorGrace
Eleanor Grace, real name Eleanor Berntsen is a 19-year-old Iowa native who leapt onto the Des Moines music scene three years ago with her debut single, “Lighthouse.” Her eclectic sense of creativity has inspired her to write songs spanning multiple genres, and she shows no sign of sticking to one thing any time soon. Her most recent release is a full-length record, of a genre she’s deemed “quasi-country.” The album was produced in Des Moines by local Bryan Vanderpool of The Well Pennies, and done during the first half of Berntsen’s recent gap year. It reflects on themes of love, loss and existentialism, but stays rooted in classic country storytelling.
