Downtown DSM Tweet Week 2023
Downtown Des Moines (DSM) is twittering with anticipation of the 3rd annual Tweet Week! The hunt is on July 8 – 16 to discover 90 birds created by local DSM artists and hidden throughout Downtown. To participate, just search for the hashtag #downtownDSM on social media to find clues to where the birds are hidden each day, and then flock to Downtown DSM and look for a handcrafted, artful bird! If you find a birdie, you may choose to take it home and keep it (limit one per person) and take a photo with your find to share on social media. This activity is free, thanks to sponsors MidAmerican Energy Company, Principal Financial Group and Bravo Greater Des Moines.

How to Participate
Each morning during Tweet Week, a local DSM artist will hide 10 birds they designed in Downtown DSM and will post photos on social media hinting to the birdies’ location. Additional clues will be shared on the Downtown DSM Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Pro tip: Follow the Downtown DSM social media accounts in advance to stay in-the-know about Tweet Week, including helpful hints.
And if you find one of the artful birds? Lucky you! You can choose to take it home and keep it, just please limit one birdie per person to help ensure others can search for birds. Feel free to share a photo of your artful treasure on social media using #downtownDSM.
