Event Description
Join The River Center for a one-of-a-kind evening in Des Moines for food and wine lovers. Porc and Pinot will showcase Cinta Senese Black Italian heirloom Pork preparations by visiting Loire Valley French Chefs, and rare never before, never again, Pinot NOIR wine introduced by John Balletto, winemaker Anthony Beckman and National sales director Nick Frey and the best of pork from La Quercia & Berkwood Farms stock.
All of this is in celebration of cultural connection, marking our 18th year sponsoring our Sister City regions' top culinary talent for a visit to Des Moines. A portion of the proceeds will also support the work of CULTURALL, who are devoted to providing cultural programming in the Des Moines area to further understanding and diversity.
Schedule:
5:30 Doors open.
6:30 Welcome Reception with Apertif.
7:00 French Chefs presentation with samples.
7:30 Pinot Noir Sonoma Barrell Auction lot wine never before and never again special Burnside Vineyard debut tasting. With comments from Balletto team on this wine and current vintage.
7:30-9-00 Food and Wine stations open.
Parking: Free 2 hours parking validation in Lots A, B & C. Or all evening parking exit passes available for $5 for those who park in LOT B
